Club Remo Caribe

If you are looking for something truly unique to add to your island getaway in Bocas del Toro, Panama, Club Remo Caribe offers one of the most authentic and rewarding water sport experiences in the archipelago. Located right on Playa Istmito on Isla Colón, this community outrigger paddling club welcomes visitors and residents of all skill levels to come and try one of the most ancient and beautiful forms of ocean travel in the warm, clear waters of the Bocas del Toro archipelago.

Outrigger paddling is a sport that originated in the Pacific Islands and has found a passionate and growing home right here in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Club Remo Caribe offers both six-person outrigger canoes — known as OC6 — and single-person outrigger canoes, giving everyone from solo adventurers to families and groups the chance to experience this powerful water sport. Whether you want to go out on the water with five other paddlers working as a team, or take on the challenge of a solo canoe, the club provides instruction and support that makes the experience approachable and exciting right from your very first session.

The club is based at Playa Istmito, a peaceful beach on Isla Colón that puts you right at the edge of the stunning Bocas del Toro islands. Paddling out from that shore, moving through the calm Caribbean water with the surrounding islands and jungle visible in every direction, is the kind of experience that makes you feel genuinely connected to where you are. There is no engine, no motor, no noise — just the rhythm of your paddle, the sound of the water, and the extraordinary natural beauty of Bocas del Toro, Panama, all around you.

Club Remo Caribe is a community-driven club that warmly welcomes visitors who want to try something different during their time in Bocas del Toro. Whether you are looking for a one-time experience or want to paddle multiple times during your stay, the club offers a completely different and deeply satisfying way to experience the islands.
