Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your stay at Bocas Stoked Monkeys. By making a reservation — whether through our website, Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, or directly — you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. About Us

Bocas Stoked Monkeys is a vacation rental property offering private bungalow accommodations located in Big Creek, Isla Colón, Bocas del Toro, Panama. For questions or concerns, contact us at stay@bocasstokedmonkeys.com.

2. Reservations and Bookings

Reservations can be made through our website or via third-party booking platforms including Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as outlined at the time of reservation. Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to the respective platform’s terms in addition to ours.

3. Rates and Payment

All rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD).
A deposit may be required to secure your booking. The amount and timing will be communicated at the time of reservation.
Full payment is typically required prior to check-in, unless otherwise agreed.
We accept payment via the methods available on the booking platform or as agreed directly.
Prices are subject to change without notice for future bookings. Your confirmed rate will not be affected by subsequent changes.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation terms vary depending on where you booked:

Bookings via Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com – the cancellation policy shown on the respective platform at the time of booking applies.
Direct bookings – please contact us at stay@bocasstokedmonkeys.com for our current cancellation policy. In general:
- Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to arrival may be eligible for a full or partial refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival may not be eligible for a refund.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

5. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in: From 2:00 PM. Early check-in may be available upon request, subject to availability.
Check-out: By 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.
Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the property.

6. Guest Responsibilities and House Rules

By booking with us, you agree to respect the property and the surrounding community. The following rules apply to all guests:

The maximum occupancy for each bungalow must not be exceeded. Exceeding the occupancy limit without prior approval may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
No smoking inside the bungalows. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
Pets are not permitted unless expressly agreed in writing prior to booking.
Parties, events, or gatherings beyond the registered guests are not permitted without prior written consent.
Please keep noise levels respectful of neighbours and fellow guests, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
Guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. An additional cleaning fee may be charged for excessive mess.
Any damage to the property caused by guests will be the financial responsibility of the guest. We reserve the right to charge the card on file or deposit for any damages.

7. Surf Equipment and Activities

Bocas del Toro is a world-class surf destination and outdoor adventure hub. Please note the following:

Surfing and water activities carry inherent risks. Guests participate in all water sports and outdoor activities entirely at their own risk.
Where surf equipment or activity arrangements are offered through or in connection with Bocas Stoked Monkeys, guests acknowledge that they are physically capable of participating and take full responsibility for their safety.
We strongly recommend that guests have comprehensive travel and activity insurance that covers water sports and adventure activities.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times around water.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Bocas Stoked Monkeys is not liable for any loss, theft, injury, or damage to persons or property occurring during a guest’s stay, including incidents arising from the use of facilities, equipment, or participation in activities.
We are not responsible for service interruptions beyond our control, including but not limited to power outages, water supply issues, internet connectivity, or extreme weather events.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid for that booking.

9. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government actions, pandemics, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will work with affected guests to find a fair resolution.

10. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Panamanian courts.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to bookings made after the date of publication. Existing confirmed bookings will not be affected by subsequent changes.
